My Thoughts- Romans 7
This chapter shows Paul discussing how the written laws in the old testament apply to Christians now that Jesus had come. He shares that it's still very important to follow these rules but doing this alone won't lead to any improvement in conquering your sins. These laws show you what not to do, but doesn't make you any better. But the great news about this is God gave us a way to get out of our sin and obtain forgiveness- Jesus! How great is it that the bible tells us exactly how to get rid of the sin in our life.
It's really easy to believe that following the rules on the outside is enough. We like to keep up pretenses and look the part on the outside, but we ignore the internal problems God wants us to bring to Him. While this is a lifelong struggle that everyone deals with, He's waiting to help us through it.
